The company's hiring after scit ...hire for the post of "programmers" or other technichal posts and not for managerial posts. is this true?How good is SCIT pune really?...is it worth putting 7 lakhs of fee?...how much pakages go truthfully from there?I am a bsc (h) computer science from delhi university....i am in java programming ...im good at it but its boring so i dont want to take it up anymore...that's y i want to switch to management.

You get only manegerial post but expections mite be there in few case. Placement fetches your fees. value as said in earlier msg. For your sake of understanding. Company offer post like MT, BA, bpa, audit etcRegards

The branch is quite good. Basically this branch fetches the placements in "Big Four" KPMG, Deloitte etc.Quite up coming. Cut off should be more than 50 score... it’s offered in Pune campus

Hi Shantanu,Its nice to hear from aspiring student of my previous college. The course and staff are bettter than other institute in Pune.But definately I wont say it best. But its best in Pune.The placement really happen well as compare with Msc students of other college but try n avoid comparision with MBA-IT students cause the profile and package obviously varies.The Msc(CA) course in purely technical course, the instittute have strong network with open source international groups.Hence We SICSR promote Open Source & Linux.I hope that i have answered youer query!Take Care

Hey Rahul,The score expected of your is pretty good.ITBM is above 65 and Systems around 55.Package for overall SCIT was around 6lacs/anum.Package's are not branch specific.

I would like to answer your question.
BBA-IT is course which was developed by the experts in IT, management and top academic ppl.
This was built keeping in mind The general understanding gap between the middle level managers with techinical ppl.
therefore BBA-Itians are the ppl who credited with pool of knowledge and practical exposure to IT_mangement Feild.

Where as BBA is concerned it is also very good course who really dont want tap into IT.
The BBA by SCMS is perfect cousre which take subtle care for your self developement,
personal grooming, business skills etc. moreover these ppl have really good infrastructure with powerful manegement.. which will help you to be placed in well to do copnanies.

But I would like to advice you that u should not go by face value

Think if are interested In IT this BBA-IT will be perfect to for you...
as in BBA-IT you know and mostly everyone among the symbi crowd knows.. what is
SICSR this college was started with SIBM.

hey ankur...i have come to know from the general bba community that BBA-IT grads had no placements at all...is that so??
can u tell me how feasible it is to do this course??
are the teaching,infrastructure n all good there??
and is there any other entrance other than SET to get into this course??

Not True.. Honestly

Hey Arpit,

As I metioned the main difference between two courses.. they are not necessarily entiled to get different placement.

I would like to Inform that more than 20 people have recurited by reputed bank(Name and package cannot ne told on public portals). And around 20 more have been recruted by other companies..as this year SCISR formed placement commitee and Guest lecture commitee for Under Graduate.. In short there is sudden rise in placement..
Also you must be aware of the current status of the nation's economy..
the 7.41 Inflation rate.. there are job cuts in Big companies like IBM, Wipro etc.

But still BBA-IT maneged to performed far better than expeccted this year.

Reagarding Infrastucture any time BBA is better.. But at the same time BBA-IT have better studyin potential..

A small word of advice do not judge by college.. First decide what you want to be in ur near future..

MBA Prep..(B-Schools) GD/PI

Hi This is for all the person who wish to talk & share their knowledge in regards to Preparation for B-Schools. The motive to is to make thousand of our freinds across the globe aware of the Indian B-schools. You are most welcome with you feedback. For the students appearing for MBA GD/PI. they just need ping their query & we will reach to you answer in best possible way. The topic below is preparation for SCIT GD/PI. FAQ's (GD/PI) How it works...?
The last year there were 2 rounds of GD after that a psychometric test was conducted. Based on the results of it, Candidates were selected for PI's. There were two PI's one HR & another Technical. Short Key to Success:- Good Positive Confidence with clear communication. GD was mostly likely on world issues. India vs. China, Global warming.. etc 1st GD was easy and was taken by external faculties.. here the key was active participation.. N very importantly how you encourage others.. How you manage or avoid any conflict. And mind you it was better to avoid ‘For or Against for topic’. 2nd GD:- Was taken by Director & Registrar. Here also keep in mind the above mention Points. Right Attitude was needed. ASK: Attitude Skill & Knowledge. Manger Vs Leader was a common Topic Seriously there is no extra points for the person who starts. Your Appearance also matters.. be careful about your Formals outfit. Keep in mind that you are comfortable enough with your gesture n dress. In Psychometric Test:- 10 question were asked in different manner x 4times.Total 40 question; Time Duration:- 20mins. Pen was required. Key to success be true what you write, write short answers. N at all if it goes wrong forget it, prepare for next round of PI.PI:- Personal Interview. HR:- They ask very common question like other B-schools.1. Why SCIT? 2. How do you see yourself down the line 5 years? (Pls don’t say "To be Successful'.)3. Why should we select over the other candidates? 4. What’s your Aim in Life? Key Here is:- Be confident.. Pause if you need to think. Look straight at the Interviewer eyes. Sit erect to your sit.. N yes Pls Don’t Shake your legs. Carry CV's every time (But last time they didn't see that) Technical:- Simply don't worry They Don't ask you Rocket science..Engineers re-brush Systems Analysis.. Waterfall Model. Software Testing..Network cloud.. Internet. Modem.C/C++ some logics. Web pages. What are Blogs.. Some Tips:- Read about Google & Microsoft .
